Should you apply for BDA site in Kempegowda (KG) Layout? – My Opinion

  • BDA reserves the right to allot sites. Kindly note that this is not a BDA e-Auction. The allotment is based on various factors like seniority, number of previous attempts (number of times an applicant has tried to obtain a BDA site), no of years domiciled in Karnataka etc., So, the basis of allotment is purely subjective. I do not think even lucky draw is conducted. So, looks like the allotment may or may not happen in a transparent way. This is my personal opinion.
  • As per my knowledge, the average market price in and around Kemepegowda Layout is between Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500 per sq feet. The BDA sites have also been priced in the same way. It’s been a long time since BDA has come up with new Layout in Bengaluru. So, the demand for these BDA plots can be high. So, let’s monitor the demand for these BDA residential sites.
  • Check if there are any conditions applicable on ‘Re-sale’ of sites after the allotment is done. Generally, BDA does not allow immediate re-sale of its sites. So, check with BDA about this condition.
  • Getting a Home Loan sanctioned for a BDA site can be easy (subject to your eligibility).

Kindly keep the above points in mind before applying for a site in Kempegowda Layout.

  • *general public, 50x80, application no. 8642, registration- 7976, aged 26 years, made total 5 attempts and got site. he was eligible to apply from the year-2008 ( min. age 18 years). How he made 5 attempts as BDA didnt advertise for sites that many times.
*General public, 50x80, total 3 attempts category , the alltotees age ranged from 72 to 86 years. whether BDA will verify their credentials, age, dependents, why they didnt apply for a site for so long, they applied only after becoming senior citizens? etc. etc.

    • Dear OBI,

      1) It could be that this 26 year age had father or mother, who has applied till 5 attempts, now they might have passed away. so as per BDA rule, Son/Daughter can apply. this 50x80 site is 1 crore rs. and at age of 26 he is able to afford 1 crore rupee Site. That is shocking.

      2) BDA will verify all docs, 72 to 86 means, its not the applied after senior citizens, BDA called application only now in 2016. Do you know when was the last time application like this was called? It was in 2003. 13 years ago. and if you start collecting information u will get to when all bda called for application. Today for 30x40 - Initial deposit is 3lakh which is really not a small amount. People have applied only who could have arranged it in 30 days, during Dec 2015, 6 months. Don't you think many would have not applied who could not arranged 3 lakhs in 30 days. Just like these people might not have applied due to cash issues previously. Now may be their sons/daughters are Engineers/Doctors who can afford this amount now.

  • Hi,

Could anyone tell me how to raise an objection?

My father is 68 years old and has made about 7 attempts so far but again the site wasn't allotted. But i see a 40+ year olds got a site allotted with less than 5 attempts, again not sure how that's even possible.

    Thanks

    • Ask for a RTI form and Pay 10Rs. obtain Acknowledgment. Fill the form with Precise question or else it will be rejected tell, they did not understand you.

      Quesstion:

      1) Number of Attempts completed till now (Total Attempts) for the Registration Number : XXXXXX

      2) Photo copy of Application applied to Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout :BDA, Application Number: XXXXXXX

Check what has happened at DS1 section of BDA

      • Hi Ray,

Please correct me if i am wrong.....If we apply for RTI we can gather only information right and they can provide information within 30 working days from the day we applied, how this will act as OBJECTION for not site being allotted? What if they dint respond to within july 30th? Since july 30 th last day to file Objections right?

        • HI,

You can raise objection till 30th, They will consider the objections and come with list. Final list date is not 30th. ope you get it

  • Will any bank gives loan for EWS sites alloted by BDA in Kempe gowda layout ?

    • Please do not raise any objection and filing objection will result in delay of refund process. These jokers will get an excuse to announce final list by taking another 3 months and after that another 3 months. Finally it will be next year only

  • Hi

Can anybody guide me, how (where) to apply RTI to BDA & confirm our number of attempts made for BDA site under our registration number. PLZ.......????

  • Instead of sending cheque /DD to our address, shouldn’t they do a online bank transfer , as they have taken our bank account details ?
And as I see many people raising concern over irregularities in the allotment (no surprise here), will it become next arkavathy ?

    • Hi Guru....

They collected our bank details mostly they will refund via ECS....Definitely BDA will receive lot of objections...and they know how to tackle also.

  • Just called up BDA to find out when they would REFUND our deposit, they say it will take TWO MONTHS! This is too long a time frame considering we already had to wait for 6 months, how do we hasten the refund process?

    • Hi Damodar,

There is no go.....We have to wait till final list. Once final list out they will start refund process via ECS it seems. Usually details will not be updated in any medium.

  • Regarding Refund amount ,they will update in website?
    inforamtion like ...checkunmber,
    which date they sent
    amount details

    how to track this informaton?

    anyone having this inforamtion?

    • Hi Manohar,

Previously they used to send cheque to our address mentioned in aplication via speed post, this time they collected our bank details mostly they use ECS.

As per my guess after final list they start process to refund,so it might take 2 more months to refund.

  • Sir,I have applied for 50x80 site when I was in state Govt service for Arkavathy lay out.Site was not allotted. After retirement I now applied for same dimension under GS category. In the present notification 8 percent reservation for Govt servers. When I was in Govt service my 1st attempt.Whether my susequent attempt i.e.my present attempt can be considered under senior citizen or govt Servant category? how the govt Servant retired from service will loose status of govt Servant pensioner for the purpose of reservation of site.Taking into cosideration of my previous attempt when I was in service, can't my present attempt be considered as aspecial case owing to my senior citizen status at least .Pl rply

  • If you guys are wondering if some of you haven't seen your name in the allotment list, its because of people siphoning off sites with false data like these.

If you can see the date of birth's of these people, you can laugh your life off. Both the sons were born just 1 month apart. i was a fool to believe that it takes 9 months for birth of a child.

    Hats off guys.

    • Hi Jayanth,

Its a great observation that you have made, raise objection for same.
i believe even if they claim that they have born for two different wives they are not eligible to get 2 sites since they belong to same family.

      • The thing is that they can claim that they are independent of their father. I personally know one family where father, one or two son and two daughters all were allotted BDA sites.

The brothers can easily say that they are independent of each other. So it's not sustainable.
