NEWS REPORT PUBLISHED IN DECCAN HERALD TODAY : Bengaluru: Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) has dispatched allotment letters to all site allottees at its Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout. The authority has given 60 days' time to pay the full amount and register the site without any penalty.
"All allottees have been sent letters through Speed Post to the addresses mentioned in the application form. Those whose addresses have changed or persons who have not received the letter, can contact the BDA head office if their names are in the final allotment list hosted on the official website," BDA secretary Basvaraju told DH adding that they will not send letters for the second time.
Allottees have been asked to submit the allotment letter along with an affidavit on a Rs 20 stamp paper within two weeks to the head office.
Penalty
Those who fail to pay the amount within 60 days, will be given 30 days' time to pay the amount with 18% penalty. If they still fail to pay up, they will be given another 30 days to make the payment with 21% penalty. The authority will cancel the allotment of those who fail to pay up within these 120 days, Basvaraju said.
In addition to the total cost of the stie, allottees have to pay an additional cess on slum development and lease amount. Payment can be made at Canara Bank branch on BDA premises or at the Indian Overseas Bank branch at Kumara Park West. Basavaraju said the entire amount has to be paid at once.
Exemption
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes allottees and army personnel who were injured in service will be given three years' time to make the payment.
The relaxation, however, doesn't apply to those who have got 15X24 sq metre sites. The exemption is also extended to economically weaker sections who have got 6X9 sq metre sites. Such eligible allottees under this category have to produce income certificates and caste certificates from local tahsildars, Basavaraju explained.

Today I enquired with BDA i.e., with PRO. She told me, its enough to get the Affidavit notarized, magistrate sign is not required. It would be better one or 2 other allot tees to again enquire and re-confirm. So that it would be helpful for other allottees. Itseems there are now in the process of marking Site Nos, some of it are already marked.
JGVASISTA, Yes, surely we will confirm by tomorrow, whether Notarised Affidavit is sufficient or it must be Affidavit with Magistrate.
@jgvasista
I called up BDA office, they told it is mandatory to get magistrate sign, and it can be given physically to them or by post.
Any idea where Magistrate Sign can be obtained?. Notarizing is easier but getting Magistrate sign will be too difficult i hope.
Approach document writers/typists sitting in front of Taluk Office (Cauvery Bhavan) . He will get the job done for you.
I have also not received the letter yet.
Acc to today's DH, pg 2, all the letters have been sent by speed post.
Allotees have been asked to submit the letter along with an affidavit on RS.20 stamp paper within 2 weeks.
In addition to total cost of the site, an additional cess on slum development and lease amount has to be paid. Amount is not mentioned here.
Are they sending through Courier or Registered Post or Ordinary post. Please reply.
