Dear Expert, I am looking for advice on investment for child marriage. Girl Child Age : 16 years My age : 48 yrs Investment horizon : next 6-7 Years. I have 500000 rupee in my hand Please advice me what where should i invest.

Hi sreekanth Thanks. I have Bank FD for 2 lakhs and I can afford to take risk on this.

Hi, Did you try calculating approximate goal amount to aim at in next 6-7 years? You may pick Hybrid Equity Fund and one large-cap index fund towards this goal and can stay invested for say next 5 years. Do note that equity funds have high risks associated with them. Ex : HDFC Hybrid Fund (or) ICICI Equity & Debt fund UTI Nifty Fund. (I am assuming you have adequate life insurance cover.) Read :
