I am a senior citizen. Can I claim tax exemption both on Medical Insurance premium and medical expenditure u/s 80D? I have read that if I am possessing a medical insurance policy, I can't claim tax exemption on medical expenditure. Is it right? In ITR form, I am able to fill both these columns u/s 80D without any restriction.
Please clarify.

Dear Sir,
I believe that the tax deduction towards medical expenditure of up to Rs 50,000 is available only if a senior citizen does not have a mediclaim policy.
