Dear Digvijay, Calculation of long term Capital Gains on sale of property or house pics To calculate indexed cost of purchase (for you), you need the Sale deed done between the builder and you. The documentary evidence for Re-Sale of property between the new buyer and you is the new Sale Deed. So, advisable to have copies of both Sale Deeds with you.
