Dear Sreekanth,
I am Vinoth, 34 years old. One and half years back i started to invest in MFs. Below are my portfolio,
ICICI prudential value discovery fund Direct plan (G) 3500 per month (Started Lump sum)
SBI blue chip fund Direct plan (G) 3500 Per month (Started Lump sum)
Franklin Smaller companies fund Direct plan (G) 3000 (Started Lump sum)
HDFC Mid cap oppurtunities Fund Diect plan (G) 3000 (Started Lump sum)
Aditya birla tax relief fund 96 Direct (G) 3000 (Started Lump sum)
I see for the past 6 months, Franklin India smaller companies fund NAV is reducing & now is in negative value,
Shall i continue this fund further ? Or Is this advisable to switch over to another fund ?
Need your advise on this ... All the above 5 funds are my retirement purpose ( time horizon is 15 years)
Thanks and regards,
Vinoth GS

Dear Vinoth,
All the above listed funds are good ones. You may kindly continue with your investment plan.
Do note that the mid-cap & small-cap stocks have beaten down during the recent correction (last few months). That could be the reason for negative performance of your Small-cap fund.
But, that's how mid/small cap funds perform, they have high risk-high return relationship. You may ignore the short term volatility.
