Hi, I have been investing in the following MF's each month for some time and I would like to know if these are still good to continue through year 2020. Aged 45, my investment horizon is 15 years. Please advise your views on this and if they are good to continue through year 2020. - SBI Dynamic bond fund (G)- since 2013 - ICICI Prudential focussed bluechip equity fund (G) - since 2013 - HDFC Hybrid Equity fund (G) - since 2014 - Mirae Asset Large Cap Fund (G) - since 2018 - Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund (G) - since 2018 Thanks Ann

Dear Ann, ICICI and Mirae funds , both are primarily large-cap oriented funds. You may stick to Mirae fund and switch from ICICI fund to one more multi-cap or Mid-cap fund (if you can afford to take more risk). Kindly read :

Thank you Sreekanth. I also entered “MOTILAL OSWAL NASDAQ100 FUND OF FUND – REGULAR – GROWTH”.
For diversification, planning to switch from “Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund (G)”. Would you think this is a right move and MoST FOF appears to be giving much higher returns than the other MF’s in my portfolio.

Hi, You mean to say that you would like to switch from Motilal multicap to Most Nasdaq fund? What % of your portfolio/SIP goes for this multi-cap fund?
sananns replied 6 years ago

Yes, I want to switch from Motilal Multicap fund to Most Nasdaq fund.
At present, 25% of my investment is in Most multicap. Breakup below.

– ICICI Prudential focussed bluechip equity fund (G) – 30%
– HDFC Hybrid Equity fund (G) – 25%
– Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund (G) – 25%

Remaining 20% in the below funds:
– Mirae Asset Large Cap Fund (G)
– SBI Dynamic bond fund (G)
– Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 Fund of Fund – Regular Plan (G)

Hi, It is a fund which primarily invests in US Equities. If you follow and understand US Equity markets then fine. But, advisable not to make it a core fund in your portfolio. In case you would like to have some exposure to International equity (especially US) then you may have a look at Parag Parikh Long Term Equity fund.
