sir, I want to add one multi cap fund and one mid cap fund as SIP investment for long term like 20-25 years with my existing portfolio. Please assist me. My existing SIP portfolio: ABSL Front line Eq. Fund (Direct) Rs.1000/- for 30 years -Retairment Plan HDFC Mid cap Oppertunity Fund (Direct) Rs.1500/- for 32 years-Retairment Plan Kotak Standered Multicap Fund 9direct) Rs.1500/- for 30 years-Retairment Plan I will increase 10% in each of the above funds.Additionally I have sufficient debt cover as PPF investment ans FDs. Now for child education and child marriage purpose I want invest in new funds.As per my choice For Multicap funds:- i) Mirae asset India Equity Fund ii) Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund For Midcap fund :- i) Mirae Asset emerging Bluechip Fund ii) Franklin India Prima Fund Please help me to select  one fund from each of the category for 20-25 years horizon.

Hi, Your existing MF portfolio is fine. Instead of adding new funds to your portfolio, you may just make additional investments in the existing schemes itself. Too many funds, may lead to over diversification and may not be actually beneficial. Kindly refer to below articles ;
