Thanks a lot for your advice in the past.
My current investments are in:
- Franklin smaller cos fund – For Retirement – Rs.5000/month – currently active (Based on retirement calculator)
- HDFC aggressive hybid fund – For 5 year timeline
- Axis long term equity fund – for Retirement
- DSP Liquid fund (50k) for Emergency fund (Also, I have 2L in SBI maxgain account
Now I would like to invest 5000/month in a mutual fund (preferably a Large cap fund for 5-7 years timeline)
Is Axis bluechip fund a good choice?
Is it ok to transfer the money from liquid fund to large cap fund?
For large-cap pick, you may have a look at Large-cap oriented Index Fund.
Ex : UTI Nifty 50 Fund
Transferring of amount from liquid fund to any other fund is called as STP (systematic transfer plan). If you have lump sum corpus in hand and do not want to invest in equity funds in one go then you can opt for STP.
But, kindly be aware that when certain number of units of debt fund (liquid fund) are redeemed, taxes on gains (if any) are applicable.
