Dear Sir Would like your kind advice on the following for withdrawal of my PF accnt money. I have been employed from July 2010 till June 2013 and was alloted PF accnt by my company. Then again there was a fresh contract with the same company from July 2013 till June 2014 where I was assigned a new PF accnt number. My contract ended in June 2014 after which I am unemployed since then . My UAN has been activated for the 2nd PF accnt with DOJ and DOE also updated in the EPFO portal. I have placed online claim for the 2nd PF accnt in the EPFO portal also. However can you pls guide me for withdrawing the PF accnt money for the 1st 3 yrs from the earlier PF accnt. What is the procedure to be followed for withdrawal of the 1st PF account money and what forms needed to be filled up. Also my company's regd ofc is in Delhi with branch ofc in Kolkata and my current location is Kolkata, so do I have to personally visit the company Ofc in Kolkata fpr the attestation of the forms and do I need to submit the same personally to the PF office in KOlkata. Pls advice on the manual procedure for withdrawal from the 1st PF account.

Hi, If Aadhaar & PAN details have been seeded and verified in your UAN, you may submit CCF - Aadhaar form directly to the EPFO office (the office where your account is being maintained) by post. You need to enclose copy of PAN & Aadhaar cards, claim form, Form 15G (if required) and cancelled bank cheque leaf (your name should have been imprinted on it). Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/new-epf-composite-claim-form-single-page/

Dear Sreekanth Sir, Thanks for the advice, However would like your advice on the following.
I contacted the company and asked them to link my 1st PF accnt with my UAN, but they said that since I had worked from 2010 till 2013 June , there was no Uan allotted to any employee during the period.
Now since I am unemployed since 2014 July I am not able to link my !st PF accnt with my active UAN and since as of npw I don’t have any current employer.
My UAN is linked to my 2nd PF accnt and for which I have already submitted the online claim.
How to link the 1st PF accnt with my UAN. My UAN has been seeded with AADhar and PAN and bank details but I am not able to see the balance of my 1st PF accnt also in the EPFO portal, it is only showing the service history of the 2nd period only, though it may e noted that I have worked in the same organization for the first 3 yrs and again for 1 year later.

Hi, Kindly note that online claim is mandatory if withdrawal amount of EPF is more than 10 lakhs and EPS amount of more than Rs 5 lakhs.

Hi,
Ideally, you should have transferred the funds from your 1st EPF ac to 2nd EPF ac. Now that your are unemployed, you may use inoperative helpdesk facility to withdraw funds from your 1st EPF ac. You can also submit offline claim through your ex-employer (CCF non-aadhaar form) or through CCF-Aadhaar form to EPFO office directly by post.

Dear Shreekanth Sir, Thanks for your valuable advice, However would like your advice on the following, Since you have said to submit claim through CCF-Aadhaar form to EPFo office directly by post. Can you pls let me know if I have to create a new UAN or can I use the UAN which was used to withdraw the money from the 2nd PF accnt, The UAN was tagged with my 2nd PF accnt an d AAdhar, Bank details , PAN are seeded with that particular UAN. ALso since my base location is in Kolkata and my PF accnt is maintained in Delhi North ofc so do I need to submit the same by post? Also what are the documents I need to send them. I have been sending mails to my ex employer but they are not responding for attestation for manual submission of the form

Hi, This is a very tricky case! Suggest you to quote your first UAN number on CCF-Aadhaar form and submit the forms to PPF Delhi office. You need to enclose copies of Aadhaar card, PAN, form -15g (if required) and cancelled cheque leaf (with name imprinted on it). In case they reject your claim, you may have to quote second UAN (as your recent UAN is linked to Aadhaar, this may create duplicate of UANs issue). Also, you may submit your grievance to the EPFO online @ http://epfigms.gov.in .

Dear Sreekanth Sir, First of all thanks for your valuable advice. Request to pls help me on the following. Currently I have only one active UAN  which is seeded with AAdhar, my current bank account and also my PAN no. This is the same UAN which was tagged to my 2nd PF accnt and where by online claim submission I have got the 2nd PF accnt money a;ready within 5 days. The problem is with my 1st PF accnt which is from July 2010 tll JUne 2013 the trace of how much is in that account I am not able to see anywhere. Can I use the same UAN for withdrawing money from the 1st PF accnt also as the first PF accnt was not tagged in the epfo portal with my UAN. tehe only response i got from my past employer was that since I had joined back in 2010 there was no concept of UAN at that time. However I am sending the reeated reinder for the attestation of the forms and also for submission of the 1st PF accnt  form papers , but my ex employer is not resonding at all. Pls suggest an advice Sir. Currently I a uneployed since JUly 2014 and passing through a financial emergency

Hi, If you have only one UAN, you can quote the same UAN for withdrawing funds from 1st EPF account.  Kindly check if the details linked to 1st EPF ac are same as in your UAN (especially your Name..).

Dear Sreekanth Sir Thanks for your valuable kind advice. I am not able to view the details of my 1st PF accnt , however as far as I know the name is the same as my 2nd PF accnt, only the bank details will differ as the bank account is the same which had been my earlier salary account from 2010 July till June 2013. In 2010 there was no Aadhar card details as well however the PAN card details were the same in the PF 1st Accnt. Can you pls help me in how to find the total amt which is there in my PF 1st accnt . Since the 1st PF Accnt is not linked to my active UAN , I am not able to find the total amt(employee's + employers contribution) as of now in my 1st PF accnt. Can you advice some link through which I will be able to find out the total amt as of today in my 1st PF accnt. without using m UAN as UAN is not linked to the 1st PF accnt and the account is most probably inoperative as of now as the last contribution was made way back in JUne 2013 in the 1st PF accnt.

Hi, Suggest you to try submitting your request to EPFO through In-operative Helpdesk. Generally, EPFO provides all the information related to dormant EPF accounts and also guide the procedure to withdraw funds. Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/interest-inoperative-epf-accounts/

Hi, Small update! One of my blog readers has a similar scenario.  He has EPF 1 and EPF 2 accounts. He has withdrawn full balance from EPF 2. He has submitted transfer request of funds from EPF 1 to EPF 2 (which has a NIL balance). The transfer has been accepted and successfully completed. He is now submitting a fresh withdrawal claim from EPF -2 again.

Dear Shreekanth Sir, Thanks for your valuable advice. However I am not able to transfer from my 1st PF accnt to my 2nd PF accnt as whenever I try to do the same , it says that online transfer is not allowed . Since I don't have any employer at present and my last employer was till 2014 June , hence I am not allowed to do the same and so I am not able to do the same here. Pls advice.
Sreekanth Staff answered 8 years ago
Hi, Ok. The only suggested way is to route your claim through in-operative help desk or you may visit the concerned EPF office in person (if possible).
ashokm answered 8 years ago
Dear Sreekanth Sir Thanks for the reply. I have applied for the same through in-operative help desk as I am unable to view the total amt in my ist PF accnt. However the help desk is yet to reply.for the last two weeks. Also would like your advice on the following, since I am unemployed since 2014 July , I would like to know once I submit my claim for the 1st PF accnt manually can I apply for some new job or do I have to wait till the PF amt is cleared into my bank accnt before reapplying for a new job. Also is there any process for follow up with inoperative help desk since it is already 14 days since I have applied thru inoperative help desk
Sreekanth Staff answered 8 years ago
Hi, Yes, you  can apply for new job. That should be not of an issue. I have heard that service by in-operative helpdesk is not that great! You may try submitting your grievance to EPFO through this link...

Thanks Sreekanth Sir for your prompt response. Would require your advice on the following. Have submitted the grievance to EPFO as per the link. However till to date I am yet to receive any message from Inoperative Helpdesk. In the meanwhile I have received mail finally from my ex-employer with composite claim form Non-Aadhar, and 15G to submit so that they can route the same to the EPFO. Since I already have an active UAN which was linked to my 2nd PF accnt and the amt in the 2nd PF accnt is already withdrawn, so should I mention the same UAN no. in field 3 in the CCF Non-AAdhar for the 1st PF accnt withdrawal. Also 15 G form as sent by my ex employer has 24 fields in the PART ! whereas the same 15 G form as per the website has only 19 fields, which one to use ? Also since I am not sure about the exact  amt in my 1st PF accnt  can an appx amt be given in form 15G. I have received around Rs 49500 in the month of March 2018 for my 2nd PF accnt amt and will be applying for my 1st PF accnt amt in April 2018. Kindly guide on the fields to be filled in form 15G in field 4, field 16, field 17 and field 19.

Hi, Which UAN to quote? - This is very tricky!  If you have linked new UAN to Aadhaar, suggest you to quote new UAN itself for withdrawing funds from old EPF account. (But, I am not 100% sure on this). You may take suggestion from your ex-employer as well. Yes, you can mention approx EPF amount. Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/how-to-fill-new-form-15g-form-15h-tds/ https://www.relakhs.com/form-15g-form-15h-clarifications/

Dear Sreekanth Sir Thanks for your advice. Inoperative helpdesk is yet to reply and on contacting my ex-employer regarding the active  UAN to be filled in the Claim form -Non-Aadhar they have replied that "In that period UAN was not allotted hence I have to submit the form manually without mentioning the UAN" (work period - July 2010 till June 2013).
Sreekanth Staff answered 8 years ago
Hi, Ok, you may kindly go ahead as per your ex-employer's suggestion, as the claim form has to be routed through them.

Dear Sir I have submitted the manual form non-Aadhar alongwith Form 15 G alongwith Aadhar card and Pan card Xerox details to my employer for retrieval of my PF accnt  about a month ago. The acknowledgement I received from the organization side was that " Your PF forms have been received and has been verified." However when I am enquiring about when the same will be sent to the PF office they are replying back with the same status message even after 20 days. as given above, Can you pls advice on the same.

Hi, Did you check the status of your Claim in EPFO site? Related article : How to track EPF claim status online?

Dear Sir Since I don't have UAN linked to this earlier PF accnt it is not allowing me to check the claim, it is asking for the UAN no. when ever I am trying to find the claim request. Can you kindly suggest , is it possible to know the claim status without UAN no.
Sreekanth Staff answered 8 years ago
Hi, You may submit a grievance request to the EPFO online and ask for claim status.. URL : https://epfigms.gov.in/ Did you try generating an UAN by yourself? And then can link an EPF account.. Kindly read : UAN : Register, Generate & Activate EPF UAN online | Direct UAN allotment on the basis of Aadhaar

Dear Sreekanth Sir, Kindly advice me on the following. After multiple reminder to my organization they have finally sent me the pf submission acknowledgement slip which they have submitted to the P.F. office  in the 2nd week of May 2018 as per their saying and they have told me to register my grievance through the EPF Portal. But the prolem is whenever I am trying to raise grievance through the EPF Portal, it is asking for the UAN number. I had submitted the non-Aadhar composite claim form to my employer as they had said that though I have an active UAN whch was linked to my 2nd PF accnt (time period July 2013 to JUne 2014, the online claim for which has already been settled) , but I am not supposed to use the UAN in my 1st PF accnt  as UAN was not there during my 1st work time period (July 2010 till June 2013), as a result of which I had submitted the manual forms without any UAN. Kindly advice on how to get the PF claim status for the 1st PF accnt which has been submitted by my employers to the PF office in North Delhi without the UAN.
Sreekanth Staff answered 8 years ago
Hi, UAN may not be necessary if your service period (date of exit) is before 2014. You can track your claim status online. Kindly read : How to track EPF claim status online?
ashokm answered 8 years ago
Dear Sreekanth Sir, Thanks for the prompt reply, however the link is only working for members who have UAN only, for non-UAN members the link is not working, Can you pls suggest of any alternative by which the claim status of my PF accnt without UAN (since service period is between July 2010 till June 2013) submitted through my employer to the PF office in Delhi can be known (whether it is in process, or cancelled because of some reason).
Sreekanth Staff answered 8 years ago
Hi, I think one can not even submit online grievance without UAN. Not sure, if there is any option to check claim status in your case, except that to wait. You may request your employer if they can find out the claim status on behalf of you..
ashokm answered 8 years ago
Dear Sreekanth Sir, As per your advice , I have requested my employer to kindly check the claim status on my behalf, now it is up to them to reply. However I would like your suggestion on another issue. My PF forms are currently lying in the PF office for claim processing and I have been getting job offers as of now, in this situation can I join a new company even if the claim processing has not been over as of now or do I have to wait until the whole process is over with the deposit of money in my bank account. I am confused on the same as some are suggesting that I cannot join a new company unless the PF withdrawal process is over else they will cancel the claim processing . It is been 4 yrs I am unemployed. Pls suggest on the same
Sreekanth Staff answered 8 years ago
Hi, Suggest you to not to wait for PF claim to be processed. Go ahead and take up employment. In case, you make fresh contributions to EPF scheme, the worst thing that EPFO can do is to reject your claim. But, I believe that your old EPF ac is not linked to new UAN/Aadhaar, so the chance of happening this is very remote. Even, if they reject, you may simply transfer funds from your old EPF ac to new EPF ac. Suggest you to share your existing UAN number to your prospective (new) employer.
