Hi ,
I have SIP's for mutual funds in around 9 funds . These are mix of large ,mid ,small cap funds
Below are my midcap and small cap funds. They are performing good .
But I am reading everywhere to exit from small caps and mid caps and move it to large caps .
I have reduced my contribution from 25k to 1k in each of the below funds starting this month.
Should I sell the units accumulated till now and start contribution in large caps.
here are the funds I hold in midcap and small cap
sbi emerging business fund
franklin india smaller companies
icici pru discovery fund
canara robecco emerging equities.
Can you please advise and let me know if I am going in right direction by reducing the contribution.
thankS

Hi,
May I know your investment objective(s) and time-frame?
SBI emerging fund has not been a great performer over the last few years, if we compare the fund returns to Mid-cap fund category returns.

Thanks Sreekanth,
My investment objective is to accumulate 50lakhs for my children education in next 5years .
Can I invest in small and mid caps or move to large caps
i can take risk as I have 10more years for my goal.
Hi,
If your investment horizon is around 5 years, you may consider investing in Large cap & Balanced funds for the next 3 to 4 years, and move to safer investment avenues as the goal year approaches.
