I have recently come to know that SBI Life is going to launch its first IPO (date unknown). I would like to know your opinion to this IPO. I have invested so far in MFs and now would like to invest in some promising IPOs. I do not have Demat account and therefore, I also need to know whether I can apply for this IPO without having a Demat account.

Kindly note that I do not provide suggestions on Stock picks.
The IPO size is around Rs 7000 to Rs 8000 cr. One can compare its financials to one of its Listed peer ie ICICI Pru Life insurance and take decision.
Personally, I believe that financial services sector has huge scope for growth in India.
