Regarding pf

veekayjee asked 9 years ago
Dear Sir, Recently,I have joined a new company and not cosidered for pf membership perhaps due to salary bracket  . In my  previous company I had pf membership and account was operated by company trust and UAN was also alloted to me . I was there for less than 04 years and did not transfer there  my previous pf account from EPFO  and same is still dormant for last 4 years. Please advice me: 1.How can I  unite both previous pf accounts at one place and keep it safe for future liquidity. 2. Can I withdraw both previous pf account money. My age is 53 years 6 months.without tax implications? 3. How is the option of transferring both the amount to NPS and whether it is right choice? I will be highly obliged for your right guidance on this matter. Thanks and Regards

Hi, If your current company is providing EPF scheme and as you have already contributed to EPF earlier, I believe that you have to keep your contributions going in the new company as well. Kindly check with your current employer on this. (EPS may not be mandatory based on your basic salary) 1 - Kindly read: https://www.relakhs.com/inoperative-epf-account-trace-old-epf-ac-online/ https://www.relakhs.com/consolidate-old-multiple-epf-accounts/ 2 -  https://www.relakhs.com/epf-withdrawal-tds-applicable-new-rules/ https://www.relakhs.com/new-epf-composite-claim-form-single-page/ 3 -  https://www.relakhs.com/transfer-epf-nps/ https://www.relakhs.com/national-pension-scheme-nps-drawbacks/ Kindly go through above article and you may revert to me with your views!
