Hi, I wanted to understand one thing regarding the dividend payouts. I have invested some amount in SBI Magnum Taxgain - Regular Divided Fund and have been regularly getting the dividend on yearly basis in the month of Feb/March. I want to know if I redeem the units as on today, how is the dividend calculated for the period from the payout of last dividend and the day when I sell the units? Do I get paid dividend for this period say between March and August? How does it work?

Hi, Paying dividends on a fund is not mandatory and may not be periodical also. Kindly note that Mutual fund scheme may or may not pay out the dividend. If you sell the units, you may get gains (capital gains, if any) and you have to bear applicable taxes (if any) on capital gains.
