I am planning to buy a villa in Bangalore. The owner has sent me the Absolute sale deed . In this  there are 2 parties. 1.Vendors (bhgayshree developers) 2. In favour of (owners name Ex: Srinivas) Also the owner of the house has made the construction agreement with the Developer's of the  layout . In this document there are 2 parties 1.First party (The actual developer's name ex : bhagyashree developers) 2. second party (owner name Ex: srinivas) In this document  the owner's wife also has signed just below the owner's signature . But her name is no where mentioned in "second party ". So i am not sure why the owner's wife has signed, even though she is not part of second party in construction agreement. Also I am not sure why the owner's wife name is not present in the absolute sale deed. Now the question is , I am buying the villa from owner . So  is it required that owner's wife has to sign in sale deed which we are going to execute?

Hi, If her name is not mentioned as a second party and if the property is solely and not jointly owned by one individual (Srinivas) then only Srinivas can answer your queries as to why the lady has signed the document. Kindly check with him directly. Kindly find out if it is a witness signature?? Suggest you to take legal opinion too before closing the deal.
