Hi, May I know what type of mutual funds you are planning to invest? If your investment horizon is around 2 years, advisable not to consider investing in Equity oriented schemes. Also, kindly have realistic expectations as returns from mutual funds are not guaranteed and past performance may or may not be repeated. Only ELSS tax saving mutual funds have a lock in period of 3 years and all other types of open ended mutual fund schemes can be bought or redeemed anytime.  You can PAUSE or CANCEL SIP anytime and create new SIPs in other funds as well depending on your requirements.

If you are investing through SIP investment plan for 2 years then it is called short term investment. For short term liquid and debt funds are best suited. You can stop your SIP anytime and start SIP in other funds. Kotak Mutual Funds offers mutual fund products for short term investments.
