I had 5 lacs in my FD which is getting matured shortly. I don't have any specific objective in another 3-4 year except that I want this money to grow. Which MF is ideal to park this Lump sum amount? I have another 4 lacs in FD which I have kept as emergency fund and would not like to disturb that( I hope I am correct)

Apart from other schemes, I am presently holding my money with Axis Equity fund, Axis Long Term Equity fund, IDFC Premier Equity fund, Reliance Equity Opportunity fund and HDFC Equity fund amounting to more than 4.55 lacs. I need to rejig this amount either within the same fund house or elsewhere. Kindly guide me to park the fund at the right scheme. Matter urgent.

Hi, You may pick a Conservative MIP Fund & Equity oriented balanced fund. You may allocate higher amount to MIP Fund. Also, if you are not comfortable investing lump sum especially in equity oriented balanced fund, you may opt for STP (systematic transfer plan) or invest in 2 to 4 installments over a period of next few months or so. Hi,
If your existing funds (Balanced & MIP ) have been performing well, you may consider investing in the same funds itself.
