Dear Mr. Srikanth My portfolio is as below since for the last two years@SIP AXIS Midcap Fund (G) -1000ICICI Pru Value Discovery Fund (G)-1000Franklin India Ultra-Short Bond – Super Ins(G)-50000(STP)Franklin India High Growth Companies Fund (G)-1000Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund (G) -1000 Every fund is showing a positive trend and total investment as on date is 1.03 and return is 1.24. I have started another SIP of 1000 in Axis long term equity fund from this month for tax saving purpose in ELSS. Please guide regarding the portfolio.

Hi, May I know your investment horizon? Axis mid-cap is not a great consistent performer under Mid-cap category.  You have three Mutli-cap funds (ICICI Valuediscovery, Franklin HGC & Axis LTE), you may kindly check their portfolios overlap. As per your advice the 3multi cap fund, I started Axis LTE as ELSS for tax savings. Please advice regarding the other two.

Hi, The other two funds are also good ones. Looks like their portfolio overlaps are less than around 20%, you may retain them. ICICI Valuediscovery - It has not been performing that well over the last 1 year or so, so keep a track of its performance for the next 1 - 2 years..

Hi, Yes, investing for long-term gives us the high probability of getting decent returns and the risks can be mitigated. Keep reviewing your portfolio's performance though..
