Dear pls advice some debt funds to invest 4.5lakhs for 2 yrs. I filtered some funds and found Franklin low duration & Franklin ultrashort Bond funds are gives better returns then Franklin short term fund & hdfc short term fund over 6mths, 1yr, 2yrs, 3yrs, 4yrs. Your view pls

Hi, May I know your investment objective for this? Is this part of your Emergency Fund? Is safety of capital your priority? (or) can take some risk?

This amount will be used for my child education which is required after 2yrs. I have emergency fund in(Rs25000) bank fd. Also investing Rs40000 in equity SIP for last 4yrs. 1.franklin focused fund 2.franklin smaller Co fund 3.icici equity&debt fund 4.icici value discovery. 5.canara robeco emerging equities 6.parag parikh long term equity. 7.franklin low duration(1.5lakh lump sum) 8.franklin ultrashort Bond fund(1.75lakhs lumpsum-for emergency fund)

Pls suggest where can I invest this amount(4.5lakhs)

Hi, Considering your requirement and time-horizon, you may pick Franklin Ultra Short Bond Fund. Also, invest some portion of the investible surplus in Bank FD . Related articles :
