Dear sir, I'm sai pulluri. In 1983, my father had purchased an agricultural land of 3 acres along with two other members jointly and sale deed was registered. they each one got one acre and and two other members got mutation but my father did not get mutation of his one acre till now.my father had died 15 years ago and the sellers also died and we are using the land for 30 years.. Could u pls tell me if there was any chance of mutating my land using the document registered in 35 years ago? Is there any validity of a registered document?

Dear Sai, As the Sale Deed has been registered jointly, your father/ legal heir(s) still legally has a share in the property (land). Yes, you can visit the panchayat office (local revenue office) and can get the mutation done in your name (assuming you are the only legal heir). You may have to submit copy of sale deed, legal heir certificate, tax receipt etc.,
