Below are the Medical insurance premiums i have paid for the AY 2018-2019: Self, Wife and Kids - 10926 Senior parents - 31071 Annual health check up for Senior parents - 6700 My question is can the entire amount be claimed by me i.e., 10926+31071+6700 = 48697 (As this is below the 55000 limit defined for self family and senior parents limit under section 80D) or is it restricted to 10926+30000 (Since there is a limit of 25000 for self and family and 30000 limit for senior parents) = 40926. Can you help me with this query?

Hi, For FY 2017-18 or AY 2018-19, in your case 10926+30000 (Since there is a limit of 25000 for self and family and 30000 limit for senior parents) = 40926 would be allowed. Related articles :
