Dear Sreekanth, You have replied to various queries that the effective date for enhancement of gratuity is jan 2016. But dpe has issued their recommendation for wage revision for PSU employees.They have stated that the effective date for enhancement of gratuity is jan 2017.The gratuity act is still not passed.What is the actual mechanism for deciding the quantum of gratuity and the effective date.

Hi, As per the latest news reports the said notification is supposed to be taken up in this Parliament's monsoon session. I believe that there is no confirmation yet on this. Let's wait for the notification and Amendment to the Act, so that we can all get some clarity on this.. News : Article - 1 Article - 2

parliament adjourned sine die . No news of gratuity amendment. Is there any other way that the amendment to increase gratuity limit by passing parliament like ordinance and if so when?

Sir,my doubt is how dpe has issued memo stating that the gratuity will be 20 lakhs wef jan 2017 when the gearuity act is yrt to be passed
