I need to know before UAN was started we had many employees who were not having UAN and only EPF numbers were assigned, now after many years if they would like to withdraw the PF, if I need to submit their PF forms for withdrawal do we need to generate their UAN no. and then only the EPF office accepts the withdrawal forms or without UAN nos. do they accept it.

Hi,
As per the one the latest notifications issued by the EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Org), it is mandatory to quote UAN number on the EPF withdrawal forms.
The employees they themselves can generate UAN numbers too.
