Email from Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance to collect cheque

Hi Sreekanth garu, My sister received an email from Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance with subject as "[IMPORTANT]: Please collect your cheque!!". And email is as follows: "Thank you for choosing Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company for your insurance needs. This communication is regarding an amount which is lying unclaimed against your policy. In order to receive the amount from us, we request you to kindly submit the below mentioned documents at our nearest branch." My father has taken insurance policies on my name and my sister's name 6-7 years back from Bajaj Allianz. We don't even remember the exact year and anything about the policy. He has paid Rs.10,000 for each policy as one year premium and they said three years payment is must. Next year we paid the premium by ourselves. By third year we came to know that the money is being invested in stock market and we are not getting the amount even that we paid as premium and we didn't paid the third year premium. We received something around Rs.4000 for the premium Rs.20,000 that we paid. After so many years, only after reading your articles, I came to know that it was ULIP. Now, I want to know whether this is a Genuine email or just a marketing gimmick to bring back customers. Do we receive any such amount in ULIP? I am confused. Just clarify.
