Hi,
I would like to know where can I keep some money to get more returns than bank a/c or FDs? Should I go for liquid fund or debt funds for duration 1 year or less/ and 1 to 2 year separately? This amount is not exactly emergency fund, but is required to meet some specific targets. Kindly suggest some good fund name. Should I go for DSP short Term Direct Plan, Axis Bluechip Fund??
Considering the present scenario of Indian economy and probable recession soon, where should I invest the money for long term (10-15 years)? If mutual fund, what kind of fund it should be?

Hi,
May I know if you are ready to take some to risk to get that extra returns over and above the bank FDs??
What are these specific goals? Are they recurring in nature?
Kindly note that funds like Axis Bluechip are Equity funds and advisable to avoid investing for short term goals.
Hi Sreekanth,
Yes, I am moderate risk taker, not a very aggressive one.
Few goals are not recurring, like marriage (after 1 year approx.) while few are recurring in nature like travel, etc. Hence, please suggest me for both.
Hi,
Suggest you to consider mix of Bank FDs, RDs, Liquid Funds and Ultra Short Term Debt Funds.
But, do note that extra returns come with extra risks wrt Debt Funds.
Liquid Funds : Axis Liquid fund / Parag Parikh Liquid Fund etc.,
Ultra ST funds examples : Franklin Savings Fund , Franklin Ultra Short Bond etc.,
