Hi Sree, I have been invested in small cap and mid cap funds like DSP blackrock small cap fund and Franklin smaller companies fund. with a SIP of 200 each in both since last 2 years. As this category is highly effected, should i withdraw from these and invest somewhere else? my investment horizon was 3-4 years for small cap. Also i have been invested in HDFC balanced, Franklin Prima, ICICI pru value discovery. Kindly guide.

Hi, When markets are volatile, generally the Mid/Small cap category of funds are the most affected.  If your investment horizon is around 3 years, suggest you not to invest in Pure Equity funds.

I agree with Sree, because investing in mid and small cap equity funds can be a risky business when the markets are volatile in nature. You can invest in ELSS or large cap equity funds but stay invested in them for a long run to earn better returns.

Instead, you can openly disclose your Company name, designation and signature at the end of your Answer(s), I do not have any issues with that…
