Hi, Stock Market is up or down, is a relative term. The performance of stock markets are measured through Indices. For example : Sensex is the index of 30 large cap stocks (in terms of market capitalization). Let's say if sensex was closed at 29,000 yesterday and closes at 29,500 today, that means the index is up by 500 points. Like-wise, if the index continuously loses points for a particular time-period, can be termed as BEAR Phase and if it continuously rises, it is termed as BULL Phase. There can be various factors for this upward or downward movement. It is next to impossible to predict the exact stock price / indices movement. So, it is prudent to invest systematically / regularly.

An equity market is a place that can amuse you with wealth creation and many benefits it offers in the long run. There are opportunities that you cannot miss for getting handsome returns along with wealth creation.
Many investors usually get influenced by the strategies used by their friends or relatives while investing in the stock market. Everyone does not need to benefit from them. Hence, it is vital to have a stock market guide to help investors earn profit from their investments.

  • The shares are convertible that allows shareholders to trade their preference shares for a predetermined number of common shares after a predetermined date
  • Shareholders get the opportunity to earn additional dividends above the fixed rate if the company profits from its goals
  • Shareholders of cumulative shares can claim dividend payments that they have skipped in the past. They receive their owed dividends before other classes of preferred stocks and common shareholders
  • Perpetual stocks pay a fixed dividend to the investor if the company is operational
