Dear Sir,
I have completed my two years of service with one organisation and I am unemployed for 2 months. My Provident Fund Balance is <50k and Pension Fund Balance is also <50k. However, Provident Fund + Pension Fund is >50k.
As my PAN is not linked with my UAN.
Any TSD will be applied when I withdraw the full amount??
As per my knowledge if PF is >50k and PAN is not linked then TSD will be deducted. But in my case individually PF amount doesnt exceeds 50k but when added with Pension Fund it exceeds.
Kindly reply.
Thanks

Hi,
Ideally, TDS is not applicable in your case.
However, I have noticed that the EPFO has deducted TDS (in few online pf withdrawal cases) even though the PF claim amount is less than Rs 50k, if PAN has not been seeded and verified in EPF UAN portal.
Do note that even If TDS is not deducted, such withdrawals (before 5 year service period ends) is a taxable income.
