I am employed on a contract basis and getting paid lump sum amount every month. I would like to know if I can claim exemption for conveyance allowance of Rs.1600 per month and Rs.15000 pa for the medical expenses incurred by me for self / family.

Hi, Are you receiving these allowances as part of your payment?

NO its just a consolidated amount
