Hi sir I have retired from a private organisation. The tax on my gratuity amount,  is paid by my organisation.  So i have 2 questions here 1. Will this tax on my gratuity amount(paid by my organisation)  be treated as an income for me and will this amount be taxable again. 2. How will they calculate perquisite for rent free  accommodation in private, for the property owned by employer for the accommodation is in chennai city, Should this tax on gratuity amount,  extra salary and leave compensation allowance  also be included during the calculation for rent free accommodation perquisite. Waiting for your valuable reply

No sir tax on my gratuity is paid by my organisation, but that tax amount is shown as a income for me,  so again i had to pay a tax for already taxed amount.  So i want to know whether this process is correct

Dear Sir, I am not very sure on tax implications under this scenario, a CA would be the right person to guide you.
