Sir,
I am a beginner in the world of mutual fund, but h've decided to invest in MF, my plan is to remain invested in MF upto 7-8 years ,so that I can build a corpus of around 25 LAKHS for my child education, I' ve decided to start with 3500/PM in the beginning which I will increase with time, I 've also shortlisted few FUNDS, like,Axis long term equity,HDFC balanced fund, franklin smaller companies fund and SBI Magnum multi cap fund,,I need your help that how should I distribute Rs 3500 among these funds, and also whether I should go with these funds, or you have any suggestion to remove or add any other fund in my portfolio.

Hi,
All funds are good ones. Instead of SBI Magnum multi cap fund you may consider Franklin Prima plus or ICICI Pru value discover fund.
You may allocate higher percentage to balanced fund & diversified fund like Franklin Prima plus. In case if you are choosing ELSS fund - Axis LTE, kindly note that the units allotted under each SIP will be locked for 3 years. So, kindly plan your investments accordingly (keeping in view your goal year).
