First of all thanks for all your earlier honest replies ,I h've actually selected few mutual fund to invest via sip , i h've decided to start with Rs 5000,which will be equally divided among five funds 1.hdfc balanced fund 2.axis long term equity 3.icici value discovery 4.franklin smaller company and 5 mirae asset emerging blue chip ,my investment horizon is 12 to 15 years and I want upto Rs 50,00000.
I will also increase my SIP amount with time, I just want to know that whether my selection of fund is oK , or i should make some rejig in my portfolio, in that case which fund should be added and which one should be subtracted from my current portfolio.

Hi,
To accumulate Rs 50 Lakh in 15 years from now, assuming 12% returns, you need to invest around Rs 1.3 Lakh per year (average constant figure).
You may get returns of more than 12% (or) you may even contribute more SIP amount. The above figure is just to give you an idea about the possible scenarios.
The shortlisted funds are good ones. In case if you would like to take high risk in the next few years (of 12 years), you may allocate higher % to Mid-cap fund.
