Hi,
Myself and my brother are planning to buy one plot in Bangalore. As per our analysis we can't register a 30*40 plot on both of our names.
Wanted to check if we can buy one plot now on any one of our name now and while constructing the house, can we register ground floor on my brothers name and first floor on my name?
Wanted to know if it's possible. Thanks.

Hi,
I believe that both the options are possible;
1 - Both of you can register the vacant plot in your names. You may even mention the share/ratio of ownership in the property.
2 - You may also register the floors separately.
Hello Sreekanth, Thanks a lot for your answer. I did check with Axis and ICICI bank if they provide loan as my brother as co applicant. They said no. Could you please let me know which banks provide loan for brother as co- applicant so that we can register our names together?
Hi,
Banks may deny a loan based on many factors.
I believe that if both of you are co-owners of the property and meet eligibility creiteria set by a lender (in terms of income etc.,), I am sure you will get a home loan.
Kindly check with other lenders like SBI, HDFC or even with LIC HFL.
Hi Shreekanth,
Thanks for the information. I did check with banks, they said if my brother and I want to get the loan together, we should be staying in the same address. As we are staying in different countries, they said it's not possible to get the loan as co-applicant. Please suggest if we have any other option of getting loan as co-applicant.
