Hello,
I recently bought a flat and my husband and me are the co-owners. We want to add his mothers name in the agreement. Will we have to do a rectification deed to add her name in the agreement ? Also how much stamp duty and registration amount do we pay again ?
Regards, Sonali

Dear Sonali,
Is it Agreement or the Sale Deed?
I believe that 'a rectification deed is a supplementary document executed between the buyer and seller to rectify the mistakes made in the original/principal deed with respect to factual and typographical errors. This is also known as the confirmation deed or correction deed.'
So, instead of 'rectification deed' you may consider getting this done through a 'Gift Deed', which can be much easier and can be cost effective option.

I am planning to purchase a BDA site. Original alloted to Reddy in oct 1977 , lease sale deed done in Dec1977, BDA posistion certiricate in may 1978, katha in dec1978, absolute sale deed in 1988 with Reg No 24380 after lease period of 10year.
It was sold to verma in 2001 by absolute sale deed. But allotment and absolute sale dead Reg no of Reddy were enterend wrongly as oct 1997 insted of oct 1977 and reg num 23480 insted of 24380.
Now I want to purchase from verma. How to handle with these typographical error.
Is rectfificatin deed form Reddy and verma is a must before purchase.
Reddy is no more, his leagal hair is asking more money for signing.
If registetered with same error what sort of legal complication I may face.
Or shall we register with corrected details as per orignial allotment date and original allottee Sale deed Reg No.
Please advice me
