Hi,
I have made a online PF advanced claim (F-31) for House purchase purpose. My total balance (employee+employer) is 5L+ and I have made 90% of advanced claim i..e 4.5 L for house purchase, but I got a message claim settled for 2L only. Is there any reason that they gave only 2L settlement instead of 4.5L? Please also note, I have stopped contributing PF deposit since 2016 while I am still working. What is the process to get full amount back or advance amount which I have expected i.e. 90% as per guidelines for House construction?
Please advise.

Hi,
If you are not contributing to EPF Scheme, you can apply for full withdrawal (this is one of the two options).
Else, as you did, can go for a partial withdrawal.
Kindly note that 90% balance withdrawal rule is applicable only if you are buying a property through a co-operative or housing society. If you are buying a property directly from a builder then a different set of rules are applicable.
Purchase of House/Flat through a Society / Housing Agency : If withdrawal application is through a Society then minimum years is 3 years. ( through a registered society or houses/flats being constructed through forming a society.) – Section 68 BD. In this case, 90% of EPF balance is payable as an Advance.
Purchase of House/Flat directly from a Builder : In this case, the Membership service criteria to withdraw is still considered as 5 years only. – they are referring to Section 68B.
For purchase of site directly from builder :
24 month’s basic wages and DA. For purchase of house/flat/construction:
36 month’s basic wages and DA
OR
Total of employee and employer share with interest
OR
Total cost.
Whichever is least will be allowed as withdrawal. Related article : https://www.relakhs.com/epf-partial-withdrawal-medical-illness/

Thanks for your prompt response. About your suggestion on full withdrawal. I have following queries.
- I am still working on the same company though I have stopped to contributing PF since 2 years. It means Date Of Exit is not entered in UAN/PF office. Can I still apply for withdrawal here while I am still working here? What is the correct process here?
- Since I have withdrawn advance amount, can I proceed for full withdrawal immediately ? What is the right process?
Hi,
1 - If you have resigned from that company and currently not contributing to EPF scheme then you can withdraw full EPF balance. For online withdrawal, you need to request your ex-employer to update Date of Joining and Date of Exit details in service history.

2 - Yes, you can go ahead.
Hi Sreekanth,
I am with my current organisation from last 4 years. I have applied for Partial withdrawal for some medical reasons, I have placed my request on 12th April, from then it is showing Under process. Can you please let me know how much time does it take to process. Is it a long process.
Your early response will be much appreciated,
Regards
Puneet
Dear Puneet,
There have been some tech issues @ EPFO online claim processing facility since beginning of this month.
That could be the reason for the delay.
Generally online claims are processed, settled and paid in 10 to 15 days.
You may submit your grievance to the EPFO online..click here..http://epfigms.gov.in/
