Q & A ForumCategory: Provident Fund (EPF & PPF)PF Withdrawal (without Mobile OTP)

Hello, Thanks a lot for first of all taking this initiative to help people with their PF related query. My EPF account is linked with my Adhaar card. But the registered mobile number (same on Adhaar and EPF portal) is no more in working condition. I stay abroad for higher studies and hence i disconnected the connection 2 years back. Without the phone number, can I apply for PF withdrawl ? Or would I need the phone number for OTP services. Is there any way out of this ? Regards

Hi, Just curious to know, without mobile OTP how did you verify Aadhaar - UAN link? Without Mobile OTP authentication, online withdrawal can't be done. Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/online-epf-claim-facility-conditions/ However, you can make full EPF withdrawal through your ex-employer.  Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/new-epf-composite-claim-form-single-page/

Hello Srikanth,

I submitted my Adhaar card details on UAN portal for verification.
On request to ex-employer, they approved the verification online.

Since my UAN has been seeded with KYC,PAN,Bank details, can I submit “EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhar) directly ? i.e without even involving my ex-employer ?

Hi, Ok. Do you still see 'Verify' button for Aadhaar under your KYC section in UAN interface? In case, it is shown as 'verified' then its fine. Yes, you can submit new Composite Claim form (Aadhaar). Kindly enclose Cancelled cheque leaf (of the bank that is linked to your UAN), Copy of PAN and form 15G if required. Do note that if PF withdrawal is above Rs 2.5 Lakh, the EPFO will deduct TDS, also if service period is less than 5 years, the withdrawal amount is a taxable income. Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/epf-withdrawal-tds-applicable-new-rules/ Are you an NRI now? Is your bank account NRO? Is your bank account details up-to-date in UAN?

Hi, Its fine. Surprisingly for all offline Claims, I guess EPFO is requesting for Form 15Gs. Suggest you to submit it.  Once you get the EPF amount, do check if there is any TDS entry (related to EPF) in your Form 26AS. Ideally, you should update your Residential status in all of your banking and other related accounts. Hi, You need to post the forms to the regional office where your EPF account is being administered (in your case, it is Bangalore).

Dear Atul, If they have rejected your previous claim, suggest you to submit the claim forms again. You can enclose a blank cancelled cheque (same bank account that is linked to UAN, with your name imprinted on the cheque) and copy of PAN card as well. You may ask your employer to delete the wrong KYC entry (if it is possible).
