Hi Sreekanth, Hope you are doing great.. Need your help on two questions that I have on PF advance(form 31) 1. I understand that this can be availed only one time, is this true? I got only 75% of the amount even though eligibility is 90%(14 years of service), can I apply it again for a certain amount? 2. Also for applying Online all my details like Adhar, Bank IFSC are all seeded correctly but there are 2 member IDs which does not allow me to apply online, when contacted PF office they have no clue as how will this be rectified..can you please advise as how to get the sorted out? Thanks in advance for your help and advise. Cheers Digvijay

Dear Digvijay, I am doing good, thank you.. How about you? 1 - Yes, for the said purpose, only one time it is allowed.  Did you apply through any recognized society? Kindly note that the amount of 90% of PF balance will be credited only if the EPF members buy properties through  Cooperative society, Central Government, a State Government, or any Housing Agency under any Housing Scheme only...In this case the minimum accepted service period is 3 years.. If the PF member is buying the property from a builder directly, minimum service period is still considered as 5 years and the maximum advance amount that can be taken is not 90% , but based on the following condition ; 24 month’s basic wages and DA/for purchase of house/flat/construction: 36 month’s basic wages and DA
OR
Total of employee and employer share with interest
OR
Total cost.
Whichever is least... Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/epf-partial-withdrawals-epf-loan-rules/   2 - Did you transfer the funds from your old EPF account to new/current EPF account?

Hi, By any chance, do you have two UANs? Because, this is really surprising to know about two Member-IDs being active even after transferring the funds??? Did you submit grievance online?
Digvijay answered 9 years ago
Hi Sreekanth, There is only one UAN, but 2 member ids, but this is a good idea .. I will raise a grievance. Will keep you posted once its resolved(in whatever way)..so that if any one else has this kind it will be useful for them.   Thanks so much.. Cheers Digvijay

How you know your 2 PF is active..? , even i have 2 PF accounts which is lisitng under UAN , does that mean both are active..?

Hi, Have you transferred the funds from your old EPF account to new/current EPF account?

baker replied 9 years ago

Yes everything is done.
what i meant is go to below link and give the UAN number , you can see both of my PF will list here
https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemClaimStatusUAN/
but , if we select my old pf account , it will say “settled”

and in main UAN portal i can see service history of both PF accounts.

Hi, you can view all the linked member-IDs to an UAN. An employee can have multiple member-IDs linked to one UAN. But, one needs to transfer the funds from all old EPF accounts to latest/current one. One can view old EPF accounts and the service period gets carried forward.
