Thanks a lot for all your previous helps regarding queries.
This time, my query is about PAN online application. I am in the process of applying for PAN ONLINE via NSDL Portal (https://goo.gl/pFgero) for my wife who is an NRI until April end 2017. My confusion is in the AO Code section. Options given in NSDL Portal are:- Indian Citizens, NRIs & Foreign Citizens, Defence Employees & Govt.Category. What is to be selected out of these options? I have selected Indian Citizen (though she is an NRI until April end 2017). Is this correct? Please let me know.
The second query is about Source of Income. My wife is not working here (in Abu Dhabi). Options given in NSDL portal are:- Salary, Income from House Property, Income from Business/Profession, Income from other sources, Capital gains & No Income. I selected income from other sources as I have plans to change a few FDs that are in our joint names currently to her name as part of Tax Planning when we settle in India in April end 2017. Is this the right thing to do? Please let me know.
Last but not the least, please let me know putting Abu Dhabi in place is OK on DECLARATION.
