Just want to discuss my existing portfolio and new investment with you here. It would be great if you can help me with that here. My current portfolio size is approx 10L which includes multiple MFs (total 7L in Equity funds), ELSS (50K in two schemes), Shares (50k) and Balanced Fund (2L). I have diversification in equity funds (Large cap, Mid cap and Small cap). I am investing 17K per month via SIPs. HDFC Prudence Fund (D) is the balanced fund where I invested lump sum 2L and getting monthly dividend. Now I have approx 5L which I want to invest for long term (8-10 yrs). Can you please suggest me where to invest to get maximum returns ? Also please shed some light how to do STP from Debt fund/liquid fund to equity on monthly basis. As I am not interested to invest entire 5L in a single shot (in Equity based MF). Best Regards, Ash

Dear Ash, You may kindly list down the names of MF schemes you have invested in. STP : Are you investing offline or online through any platform? Kindly read this article on STP .

BSL Frontline Equity Fund - 2000 p.m.
Canara Robeco Emerging Equities - 2000 p.m.
DSP Black Rock Micro Cap - 3000 p.m.
Franklin India High Growth Companies - 2000 p.m.
HDFC Midcap Opportunities Fund - 1000 p.m.
ICICIPrudential Focused Bluechip Equity - 3000 p.m.
Reliance Equity opportunity Fund - 2000 p.m. Currently I am investing in regular schemes via an agent however very soon I am going for direct funds. Thanks & Regards, Ash

Dear Ash, Most of these funds are good ones. You may check their portfolio overlap %s and may try trimming down your portfolio a bit. Ex : Franklin High growth, HDFC Mid-cap, DSP Micro... You may submit STP forms to your agent. STP example : From a liquid fund like HDFC liquid fund to HDFC mid-cap fund.
