Need suggestion regarding investment in ELSS Direct Fund

Dear Sreekanth, I am vinoth, 33 years old. You blog is great and more informative. Please continue the same. My portfolio is below, ICICI prudential value discovery fund Direct plan (G) 3500-4000 per month (Started Lump sum)  SBI blue chip fund Direct plan (G) 3000- 3500 Per month (Started Lump sum)  ICICI prudential balanced fund Direct plan (G) 3000 (Started Lump sum) Franklin Smaller companies fund Direct plan (G) 3500 (Started Lump sum) HDFC Mid cap oppurtunities Fund Diect plan (G) 3500 SIP My time frame is 15 years for all funds. I am investing for my retirement. I have two queries.
  1. I want to invest in ELSS fund, 4000 per month (15 years) Can you suggest a good long term equity ELSS fund ?
  2. I am investing in ICICI pru balanced fund (You can see above) . Is this right choice for long term (15 years) ?  or i need to revisit this . please advise

Dear Vinoth, Thank you for your appreciation!   1 - You may consider ELSS funds like Birla Tax relief '96 fund / Axis LTE / DSP Tax saver etc., We can actually treat ELSS funds as diversified funds also, so kindly check their portfolio overlap with your existing funds and then take a deicion.
