Hi, I have investment in Franklin India Prima Plus(G) and recently I have also started SIP in this for past two months. To me,the fund seems to be decent. However while checking the moneycontrol.com, it says the performance is average ( crisil rating 3 ) and the advice is to switch over to some other fund. Similarly the HDFC equity (G) looks good as per returns but as in moneycontrol.com, it is below performance and advise to switch over to some other scheme. I am in a dilemma whether to continue or switch over. Kindly guide

Hi, I believe that Franklin Prima plus is a decent fund. Most of these Star ratings are based on the very recent performances of the funds (like last 1 year or so). But, if we analyze the track record of this fund for the last 5 - 10 year, its performance has been very consistent.  If you visit another MF research portal like Valueresearchonline, you will find slightly better ratings for this fund.  So, you may keep investing in this fund. However, the HDFC Equity fund's case is not same. It has very high Risk grade but below par performance. Its track record for the last 5 years has been not up to its mark.
