Mutual Funds Selections for SIP

Hi, May I know What is the basis (parameters) for selection above mentioned funds? Have you invested in any existing MF Schemes? What is your investment objective & time-frame?

Basically it is not selected by me, as i said by one of the advisor who have some good experience. But before i can discuss with him over this funds, the parameters on which he selected this funds, i would like to take your opinion on this funds. No, i have not invested in mutual funds till now, this is going to be first time investments. There are varios objectives and goals, short term goals like marriage, car down payment for which i will be investing either in liquid funds or arbitrage funds because i will need that money in an year and i've some good savings for that. But this funds are selected keeping in mind my long term plans like kids education. their marriage and my retirement.

Dear, Considering you being a first time investor with medium risk appetite (as mentioned), my suggestion would be to consider Funds with well established and consistent track record. Birla Equity fund is a multi cap with decent track record - can be considered. 1st & 5th funds are Hybrid funds / balanced oriented funds. There are better funds in this category.
