Hi, Considering the current market state, lump sum investment and your investment time-period, advisable to consider investing in Equity oriented balanced funds and/or some portion of corpus in a diversified equity fund. Ex : HDFC Balanced fund, Birla Equity / Franklin Higher Growth cos fund etc., Mid/small caps have higher risk profile than diversified/balanced funds.  In case, you understand the risks associated with mid/small cap funds and can afford to take risk, you may consider funds like ; HDFC Mid-cap opp fund / Mirae Emerging Bluechip / Franklin Smaller cos fund etc., Related articles : https://www.relakhs.com/best-mutual-fund-scheme-risk-ratios/ https://www.relakhs.com/mutual-fund-portfolio-overlap-comparison-tools/
