Dear Mr Sharma, Individually almost all the above list of funds are good ones. However, you have higher allocation to mid/small cap funds.  Suggest you to continue with your investments as of now, kindly check and analyze the funds' (category wise) portfolio overlaps after 2 to 6 months from now and can drop couple of mid-cap funds from your portfolio (if overlap is on the higher side) and you may add one equity balanced fund. Dear Sreekanth Thanks for your prompt reply ! I agree that I have a higher allocation to mid/small cap funds, Can you please suggest in this category which are the funds I should drop. A friend of mine has asked me to switch ICICI PRU Value Discovery fund. Do you think I should continue with this fund? As you have suggested an equity based balanced fund, please suggest one- HDFC, SBI Magnum or ICICI. I read your article: https://www.relakhs.com/best-mutual-fund-schemes-sebi-norms/ but could not understand much. Please suggest among the funds I am invested are there any fund which has changed much so as to have a impact on the return. Finally, please give your opinion on Mirae Asset Emmerging Blue chip. Regards D Sharma

Dear Mr Sharma, You may continue with ICICI Value discovery Fund. As suggested, you may check the portfolios overlap after few months and can trim your Mid-cap portfolio a bit. Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/mutual-fund-portfolio-overlap-comparison-tools/   You may add Balanced fund like 'HDFC Balanced fund' (now re-named as HDFC Hybrid Equity fund) after couple of months.

Dear Sreekanth Thank you for your valuable suggestions. Finally, please give your opinion on Mirae Asset Emmerging Blue chip. I personally like this fund as it is giving good returns. But a friend of mine said that after categorization this fund is no more good for investment. Please give your advice.

Dear Mr Sharma, Thank you for your kind words. As suggested, you may kindly do overlap analysis of your funds after few months and can try trimming down your portfolio (number of funds) a bit (if required).
