Dear Sree I invested around 15 lacs in following funds. BSL equity fund - 1.5 L, DSP Black rock - 50K lumpsum & 10K SIP , Franlikn smaller cos - 50K and 5K SIP. Franklin Prima - 4.5L. HDFC Prudence - 5L , ICICI value discovery - 50K and 10K SIP, ICICI Dynamic plan - 1Lac, Mirrae asset blue chip - 50K, Reliacne small cap - 50K and Sundaram select - 50K and 10K sip. i wanted to know whether this are ok . I don't know about overlapping and also i want to invest another 2 Lacs in MF. need your Advise.

Hi, Most of the above listed funds are good ones. But too many funds especially if they are from some fund category, may not be required. You may trim your portfolio a bit. Thanks Sree for your advise. please suggest me in which fund i can invest anotther 2 lacs. as advised i will not select new funds and try to trim the existing.

Hi Sree   Thanks for talking time to respond. as of now there is no immediate requirement. I invested all this for retirement. Now iam 40. so for next 10 -15 years i wont touch this.

Hi, Ok. Then you may consider investing in balanced fund, diversified equity fund and one mid-cap fund (Ex : HDFC Prudence, Birla Equity fund & Mirae Emerging bluechip fund)
