Dear Sreekanth,
I regularly follow your blogs!
Presently I have invested in SBI Blue Chip and ICICI Pru value discovery fund in SIP mode.
Should I invest in SBI Pharma?
Can you suggest a fund for investing for a horizon of 5 to 7 years.
Regards
D Sharma

Hi,
Thank you for reading my articles.
You may consider opting for a Balanced fund instead for a 5 to 7 years investment horizon.

Hello!
Thank you for the prompt reply.
Actually I thought that Balanced funds gives less returns as my intention was to accumulate wealth.
- My age is 35 years and I for my age what is your suggestions?
Dear Mr Sharma,
I have suggested balanced funds after considering your investment horizon which is around 5 years. If your time-frame is more than that then you may surely add a Mid-cap fund to your MF Portfolio.
SBI Blue chip & ICICI funds are good ones.
Balanced funds : My pick would be TATA balanced or HDFC balanced funds.

Dear Sreekanth,
Thank you for your reply.
I will go for HDFC Balanced fund or TATA Balanced fund.
Since you also suggested a Midcap fund, can I go for Mirae Asset Emmerging Bluechip fund?
Please suggest 2 or 3 good Midcap fund. I have gone though your blogs, but it gives a list of 5/6 funds.

Hi,
Mirae is a good fund. HDFC Mid-cap opportunities is also a decent bet. You may compare Fund A Vs Fund B on parameters like Returns, Risk ratios (already shared the link in my previous comment) & Portfolio overlap.

Dear Sreekanth,
As a regular follower of your blogs I first convey my sincere regards for your help in my investments.
kindly guide me which fund to pick between Mirae assent Emmerging blue chip and DSPBR Micro Cap.

Dear Mr Sharma,
Kindly note both are decent ones.
If we compare on Risk parameters, for some ratios like Standard Deviation Mirae fund outscores DSP fund. But on other few parameters DSP fund outscores.
From returns viewpoint, DSP has performed slightly better than Mirae fund. But do note that Mirae fund is more of a Mid-cap oriented and DSP is mostly skewed towards Small cap.
If your time-frame is really longer period, you may consider DSP fund. Else, consider Mirae fund.
