Interest on accumulated PF amount is not accurate

Interest on EPF is not updated for the last year(2016-17). We used to see the updated cumulative interest in the EPFO site on or before May every year. But I don't see the interest component from past 4 months. is this due to technical problem or not paying the interest for this year? Can you please advise Thanks in advance

Hi, There can be a delay in updating the entries (technical issue), the EPFO will and has to pay the interest applicable for FY 2016-17. Kindly note that 8.65 % is the interest rate on EPF deposits for 2016-17..

Hi, As per the latest news reports, the EPFO is planning to revise (downwards) its earlier announced rate @ 8.65%..the board is going to meet this month end (Sep) and finalize the new rate it seems..so let's wait couple of weeks more..

Hi Srikanth,
I could see few of my colleagues that accumulated interest amount is added in last March itself. But this interest is not showing to me. How can they provide interest for few members only.

Hi..May be the EPFO is updating the records batch wise. You may wait for few days or may contact the EPFO/your employer.
