Sir, suppose I start a sip under a equity fund under an AMC in this year and after 3 years if the AMC will close his business and any other AMC will takeover it(eg,- JP MORGAN - EDELWEISS CASE) , then what should I do at that time? Is their any risk to invest?

Dear, Your money will safe, as the mutual fund industry is a very well regulated one. But the question would be if the funds are going to perform better or under-perform compared to their past performances, is the main thing that we need to be worried off. Because the business may be run by a new team (Fund mangers) and we do need to keep an eye on consistency of returns (if already invested). If I have to shortlist funds for new investments, I would prefer to wait before selecting the schemes for investments. Instead I would select other fund house schemes as there is shortage of well-performing mutual fund schemes. May I know your opinion?

Sir, I completely agree with your view. As I am a new investor in the mutual fund industry I have not that much idea for selecting right fund and fund house also. Instead of that I have invested in two sip schemes under one mutual fund house i.e 1) uti mnc 2) uti mid cap . are they good funds under uti fund house?

Hi, UTI MNC is sort of a Diversified Equity fund. Both are decent ones. Kindly stay invested for longer period. But do note that the fund manager of UTI Equity fund had quit some time back, so let's track its performance over the next 1 to 2 years.
