Is it a good idea to buy bank stocks now? Will bank stock's price will increase after the bank's merger.

But, banking as whole is facing an issue with high levels of NPAs (Non performing Assets). However, the financial services including can perform well due to demonetization effect, as more and more households may come into the organized banking system, more usage of Card payments, more savings coming into deposits, etc.,
But this may take some time to happen..
