Hello Sreekanth, First, thanks a lot for your time in blogging to answer all users queries very promptly. I'm very impressed with your unbiased analysis & inputs. I'm holding HDFC Balance fund, UTI opportunity fund, ICICI Bluechip, Pru discovery & Reliance Equity opp fund. All thru SIP for almost 2+ years. Each Rs.3000/PM for my Retirement. I did hold some Gold ETF for quite sometime. It yielded me 7-8% I can invest another 3-4K/PM. Pl suggest me that shall I restart the Gold ETF or go for NPS (my last preference due to locking period) or any other suggestion you recommend. Thanks in advance Regards Mukesh

Dear Mukesh, Kindly note that there are better Mid-cap oriented funds than Reliance Fund. Also, kindly check the portfolio overlap between ICICI Bluechip fund & UTI opportunities fund. I believe that the overlap is slightly on a higher side (>50%). So, you may stick to ICICI fund alone. Read: MF Portfolio Overlap analysis tools. Hi Mukesh, You may ignore investing in NPS and can continue with your MF portfolio investments. You may make additional investments in existing MF Schemes only for say next 4 to 5 years and then can gradually switch to safer investment avenues.
